212 NYC is the original from 1997, a clean white floral in the silver stacked bottle. Bergamot and orange blossom open it, with a green cactus-flower note that keeps it from being too sweet, then gardenia, freesia and lily over sandalwood and musk. As an eau de toilette it is soft and daytime, three or four hours before it fades to skin, and it behaves well in heat. Suits someone who wants a light, tidy floral for work and does not want to think about it.
