Intense Café is coffee and rose, in that order. A floral opening gives way to a roasted coffee heart, and then vanilla, amber and white musk take over and stay for ten hours or more. It is sweet but not childish, and it projects strongly for the first few hours, so one or two sprays is plenty. Cool evenings suit it best. Unisex; men and women buy it in roughly equal numbers, and it is the Montale the counter sells most.
